CHIC OF THE WEEK: TOKYO FLAPPER

This week, I was inspired by Japan in the 1920's and flapper fringe. The Great Gatsby, the Charleston and early 20th century pin up girls, all mixed with a tiny bit of my own flower child style.

For my take on The Great Gatsby meets Japan I first applied a less harsh version of 20's era makeup. I like this tutorial on youtube:

Here's how it came out:

I kept my hair loose, but put a slight finger wave at the top. To go all out, you can find some amazing tutorials on the classic wavy and short flapper hair online.

Here is the finalized look:

What I'm Wearing:

1. Vintage gold earrings
2. Rimmel lipstick in Bordeaux
3. Vintage upcycled fringed skirt as a mini dress
4. Urban Outfitters necklace (a birthday present from the boy)
5. Kate Spade bow ring
6. Sheer Kimchi Blue kimono robe
7. Vintage Mary-Jane heels
